According to the Ann Arbor News, Beaner's, an East Lansing-based coffee shop, is moving into the space recently vacated by American Spoon.

There's a Beaner's in Maumee, Ohio between US-23 and the Ohio Turnpike. The coffee was, well, coffee. They had wifi too which is a plus.
For my money the best coffee near where they are going in is at Cafe Ambrosia.
